21st Annual Big Muddy Blues Festival
The Big Muddy Blues Festival, St. Louis’ long-running blues event, is going all local for 2016.
The 21st Annual Big Muddy Blues Festival, taking place Sept. 3-4 throughout Laclede’s Landing, will feature more than 45 St. Louis-area acts.
Among the names who’ll perform are Big George Brock, Marsha Evans and the Coalition, Boo Boo Davis, Arthur Williams, Roland Johnson, David Dee, Renee Smith, Big Mike Aguirre & the Blu City All Stars, Jeremiah Johnson, Soulard Blues Band, Love Jones, St. Louis School of Rock, Skeet Rodgers & the Inner City Blues Band, Pennsylvania Slim, Tom Hall, Brian Curran, the Bottoms Up Blues Gang, Tommy Halloran, Erika Johnson & Tom Byrne, the Dust Covers and many others.
The festival will also feature a piano showcase with Dean Minderman, Ethan Leinwand and James Matthews, and special tributes to St. Louis music legends Henry Townsend and Johnnie Johnson.
Festival goers will experience a full range of Blues styles, from Louisiana, Chicago, St. Louis and more throughout the newly rebuilt 3rd Street and renovated Mississippi Riverfront for a general admission ticket cost of $10. Kids get in free and this is a family friendly event!
